This is a list of Newfoundland Junior A Hockey League Standings for the 1971-72 season.
History
The first ever season of the NJAHL occured relatively late in the season. In January of 1972, the NAHA got the heads of all the municipal minor hockey associations together to see who would be interested in doing a season. Corner Brook and St. John's balked at the idea saying they were too busy with their own town junior leagues to enter. Gander, Stephenville, Clarenville, and Port-aux-Basques went on without them, only to have the two centres challenge for the Veitch Memorial Trophy with All-Star teams later.
