This is the 1970-71 season of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League.
Junior hockey in Canada was reorganized this season. There were now two tiers - Major playing for the Memorial Cup and Tier II Junior A playing for the Centennial Cup. This league played for the Centennial Cup while the Western Canada Junior Hockey League played for the Memorial Cup. The Regina Pats and Moose Jaw Canucks left to join the Western League so that they could play for the Memorial Cup.
