The 1968 IIHF European U19 Championship was the first official playing of the IIHF European Junior Championships. Finland hosted the six team tournament from December 26, 1967 to January 3, 1968. The other five nations were to play qualifiers in November and December 1967, but West Germany forfeited their matches against Czechoslovakia.[1]
