Pickups
After defeating the Fort William Canadiens of the Thunder Bay Junior Hockey League in the Western Memorial Cup Semi-Finals, Wheat Kings were allowed six pick-ups from the MJHL. Brandon selected goalie Rick Best from the Winnipeg Braves, defenseman Terry Ball from the Winnipeg Rangers, forwards Bill Ostwald from the Winnipeg Monarchs, Ted Irvine, and Wayne Kitchen both from the St. Boniface Canadiens. 6th not used.

Lineup Notes
Dressed one less than the allowed 16 in all four Semi-Final games, Huston replaced Janaway on the 2nd line for game 2. Best played the first three games of the Final. In game 3 of the Final, Ostwald sat out, Hayes was in, Murray moved to forward. Janaway replaced Ostwald on the 1st line for the last two games of the Final.
