This is the 1948-49 season of the Ontario Hockey Association's Intermediate B groups:

All group winners advanced to the 1948-49 OHA Intermediate B Playoffs.

  • Port Dover 7 Hespeler 5
  • Hespeler 7 Port Dover 2

  • Hespeler 5 Port Dover 4

At this point Hespeler lost its three wins because of the use of ineligible junior players. When offered the choice of replaying these games or moving up to Intermediate A, Hespeler chose to enter the 1948-49 OHA Intermediate A Playoffs.

Port Dover won.

Northern GroupEdit

Bracebridge, Bala, Gravenhurst, Huntsville, Parry Sound.

Parry Sound was an Intermediate A team and entered the 1948-49 OHA Intermediate A Playoffs.
