Notes on FinalEdit
Despite the permission, Sydney protested. Also the Quebec Amateur Hockey Association stated that it would refuse to accept this substitution in the interprovincial playoffs. The Canadian Amateur Hockey Association (CAHA) did approve Glace Bay's use of Fraser.
After the third game Glace Bay's substitute goalie, Boates, mysteriously appeared. Both the CAHA and the MAHA, suspicious of the circumstances around Boates' diappearance, ordered the two teams to start a new best of three final. This would wipe out Glace Bay's three wins.
With Boates in net, they played the first game.
Best of 3
- March 10 Sydney 9 Glace Bay 1 @ Glace Bay
Glace Bay then protested the decision to change the series to a best of 3 - a protest that was overruled. The Miners refused to play any more games and the Millionaires were awarded the series.
