This is the 1934-35 season of the Vancouver City Senior League:

The league was actually formed from the end of the 1934-35 VCHL Season in order to have a team qualify for the Allan Cup playoffs.

There was an attempt to form a senior league in December. Three teams were interested - Vancouver Cubs, New Westminster Maroons, and the Vancouver Associated Quakers. The last team was really a commercial team sponsored by the store Arnold & Quigleys.

However the deal fell through in early January. Amateur hockey was never very successful in Vancouver in this era.

The Cubs kept going as an independent team. They played two games in Kimberley on January 12 & 14, losing to the Dynamiters 8-3 & 7-1. They beat Arnold & Quigley 6-1 on February 1 and tied them 5-5 on the 22nd. The Cubs defeated the Vancouver Junior All-Stars 5-3 on the 11th. They were edged 2-1 by the New Westminster Maroons on the 19th.

The Vancouver Cubs then advanced to the 1934-35 British Columbia Senior Playoffs.
