Note: Halfway through the season, the Victorias went on a tour of Europe. The team was then staffed with intermediate players.

The Sons of Ireland were on the verge of collapse because of competition from the Quebec Beavers minor pro team. The Sons survived with financial help from the other teams.

McGill University dropped out near the end of the season. They had chosen to qualify for the Allan Cup playoffs through the University league. After they dropped out the season was prematurely ended.

The locale of the St. Francois-McGill game was the subject of some debate. Mount Royal Arena claimed it was a home game for the St. Francois team. The Montreal Forum said that it was a McGill University home game. The league had revised its schedule so many times that it wasn't sure what was right. Eventually the Forum got the game which St. Francois won.
