This is the 1922-23 season of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League:

History Edit

This year there were seven junior teams registered in the south and three in the north. In the south, two teams in each city of Weyburn and Regina played off for their respective city championships before the winners went on to the southern playoffs. The three northern teams played off in their own playoffs. The northern and southern winners then played off for the provincial title.

Saskatoon beat Regina Pats 4 goals to 3.

A protest by Regina uncovered several ineligible players on the Saskatoon team. Saskatoon was then disqualified.

Originally Melville and Rosthern, the two teams that Saskatoon had defeated, were to play off with the winner going against Regina for the provincial title. However, these two teams were themselves disqualified for "irregular schedules".Regina Pats were then awarded the provincial title.

Regina Pats advanced to the 1922-23 Western Canada Memorial Cup Playoffs.
