After playing four seasons of college hockey for [[Boston College]], Farkas joined the Maple Leafs' roster for the [[1999–2000 NHL season|2000 Stanley Cup Playoffs]]. He appeared in three games during that postseason, recording one goal. Despite his playoff success, Farkas appeared in only eight games for the Maple Leafs over the next two seasons, and three more for the [[Atlanta Thrashers]] during the [[2002–03 NHL season|2002–03 season]].

While playing for the [[American Hockey League]]'s [[Chicago Wolves]] in [[2002–03 AHL season|2003]], Farkas fell headfirst into the boards during a game against the [[Rochester Americans]]. He suffered a fractured fifth cervical vertebra and, according to medical reports, came within millimeters of being rendered quadriplegic. The injury forced Farkas' early retirement from the sport.

Perrin played college hockey at the [[University of Vermont]], and went undrafted by the [[National Hockey League|NHL]]. After spending several years playing minor league hockey, including a stint in [[Finland]], Perrin was playing for the [[Hershey Bears]] when he was called up by the Lightning with 4 games left in the [[2003–04 NHL season]]. He registered one assist in the playoffs on the way to the Lightning winning the [[Stanley Cup]]. Perrin is best friend of Lightning winger [[Martin St. Louis]].

While with the Winter Hawks in 1980–81, he set league records for most consecutive games with an assist (30) and with a point (45) while compiling 28 goals and a league-leading 111 assists (also a league record for defencemen) for 139 points and being named the league's top defenceman.

He started out playing for the [[Ottawa New Edinburgh]] of the [[Ottawa City Senior League]] from 1918-24. He then turned pro with the [[St. Paul Saints]]. After some time in the minor pros. he made it to the [[New York Americans]] in 1927.

Joe Miller was a playing for the [[New York Americans]] in [[1927–28 NHL season|1928]] when by an interesting set of circumstances his [[Stanley Cup]] opportunity arose. With the Americans out of the playoffs he had gone to the [[Stanley Cup]] finals games between the [[New York Rangers]] and the [[Montreal Maroons]]. At the time [[National Hockey League|NHL]] teams only carried a single goaltender so when the Rangers netminder [[Lorne Chabot]] was injured the Rangers coach and [[General manager]] [[Lester Patrick]] asked the Americans and the Maroons for permission to use Miller for the remainer of the series. The American agreed but [[Montreal Maroons]] head coach [[Eddie Gerard]] forced Lester Patrick to play goal for the rest of that game. After the game finished Lester Patrick when through formal channels with the [[National Hockey League|NHL]] and got Joe Miller on a short term loan from the [[New York Americans]]. Miller played 3 games for the Rangers and won the [[1927–28 NHL season|1928]] [[Stanley Cup]] for the New York Rangers.

He was returned to the Americans after the playoffs. He later played for the [[Pittsburgh Pirates]] and the [[Philadelphia Quakers]]. Miller retired in 1932 after a season with the [[Syracuse Stars]].

Drafted from HC Lada Togliatti, Butsayev made his [[National Hockey League]] debut with the Red Wings during the [[1999–2000 NHL season|1999–2000 season]], appearing in 57 games and scoring five goals. After spending parts of the next two seasons with the Red Wings, Butsayev was traded to the [[Atlanta Thrashers]] along with a draft pick for [[defenceman (ice hockey)|defenceman]] [[Jiri Slegr]]. After spending parts of two seasons with the Thrashers, Butsayev returned to Russia during the [[2002–03 NHL season|2003]] season and has played there ever since.

'''Johnny Frederick Peirson''' (born 21 July 1925 in [[Winnipeg, Manitoba|Winnipeg]], [[Manitoba]]) is a retired [[National Hockey League]] player who played right wing for the [[Boston Bruins]].

In 1946, after spending a season with the [[McGill Redmen]], Peirson was invited to join the [[Boston Bruins]] main farm team [[Hershey Bears]]. After two seasons he made it as regular with the Bruins.

Peirson finished his NHL career with 153 goals and 173 assists for 326 points in 545 games, and played in the NHL All-Star Game in 1950 and 1951.

He retired first in 1954, but after a season came back and lasted until 1958.

Following his retirement, Peirson became a prominent broadcast analyst for the Bruins, first on WBZ radio with Fred Cusick -- with whom as a player he had done a TV demonstration during one of CBS-TV's short-lived weekly NHL telecasts. Then he went on WSBK television, initially with Don Earle and then for many years with Cusick, who had moved from radio to TV.
